Sapele vs mahogany for exterior window trim: which holds up better?

Replacing all the exterior window casings and sills on a 1920s colonial. Original was likely old-growth mahogany (rock hard, lasted 100 years). Need something that takes paint well, resists rot at the sill, and can be profiled to match the existing muntin details. Sapele or Genuine Mahogany? Budget for about 400 LF of various profiles.
