First time ordering custom milled siding, was way easier than I expected

I was nervous the first time I ordered custom milled siding and it turned out to be simple. Standard profiles cover most jobs, but the moment you want an odd reveal or a hardwood in a profile nobody stocks, you're milling custom. my supplier quoted mine fast, ran a couple sample boards for me to sign off on before cutting the whole order, then delivered to the site. Bring them a drawing or a sample of what you want and they'll tell you quickly if it's doable. Less intimidating than I built it up to be.
